And this young man who is really almost impossibly handsome is meant to be a human flower. George doesn’t wanna sleep with him, George just wants to look at him. He’s stunned by his beauty. And his beauty finally hits George. George hasn’t had a cigarette in sixteen years, but he decides to stop and smoke, just to gaze into this young man’s eyes. This actor, his name is Jon Kortajarena, has been a model working with me for years and I’ve photographed him myself many times. He’d never acted before and I knew just from working with him as a model that he’d be a terrific actor. And he’s really a natural.  Tom Ford, on the commentary track of A Single Man
