When this was finished, it was put in a drawer because there was a little bit of an embarrassment factor, not because we were embarrassed by the writing, but we were embarrassed by it was a little personal and it was likely that anyone would read it and go, ‘This is a little gay’ or whatever. So we were like, you know, embarrassed to show it to anybody and the first person we showed it to was like ‘This happened to me and I was identifying’ and the more we realized that people were hungry for something like this, something that resonated and felt sincere, the more we realized, ‘I think we got something.’
